The Christmas season is upon us, a celebration of our Savior’s birth on a holy night, reminding us of how Jesus was born in the most humble of circumstances, not in a conquering manner. Think about it for a moment. Take time to reflect. Jesus, who came to save us, began his time on earth as a vulnerable, powerless, and dependent newborn.
“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” (Luke 2:7)
This holiday season at Candlewood, we will indeed celebrate our Savior’s birth, reflecting on the true meaning of Christmas that doesn’t come from a store. On December 16, our annual Kids’ Christmas Program will take place with songs and readings by our Candlewood Kids who have been practicing for weeks. Then, the following week on December 23 , we wrap up The Age of Grace series on Galatians with a Christmas-themed message.
Christmas @ Candlewood then concludes on December 24 with our Candlelight Christmas Eve service, which starts at 5 PM. We hope you can join us on this evening to celebrate Christmas.
