The Rock-UNL is…

The Rock-UNL is…

… a group of students trying to get closer to God and others, and having a great time doing so! A lot of us went to Faithwalkers over Christmas break, and we have been trying to apply all that we learned there to our lives. Growing in disciplines of reading the Bible, prayer, serving, going deeper in Christian community, and growing outward by sharing the good news of Christ with others have been some areas that all of us are working on in various ways.

… enjoying the fine weather we’ve been having! Spring fever has officially arrived, and our grades might be suffering. Many days feel like Friday, and it is unfortunate that usually it is not Friday. We are, however, looking forward to Spring Break 2016, when most of us will be headed to Salt Lake City, Utah to serve the churches there and see some sights! There’s nothing like spending thirteen hours in a vehicle with some other human beings.

… praying every night for Forty Nights of Prayer! We are right into the thick of it, and we spend about thirty minutes together every night praying for our families, friends, co-workers, and classmates, asking God to unite us, for people to come to know Him, to grow us in love and holiness, to help us to follow Him better, to use Candlewood, to transform our campus and our city. These times have brought us together even more and are getting us pumped up for Spring Break 2016 and SLT 2016.
